The Important elements of a good volley
18 May 2004
Volley Tips
The important elements of a good volley include:
Moving to intercept the ball as close to the net as possible.
Making contact with a punching motion with little or no backswing.
Emphasis on placement rather than power.
Volleys below the net should be considered defensive,
use the racquet as a trampoline to guide the ball over the net at
a low trajectory.
