Junior League @ Centre Court

Goal of the League

To provide juniors the opportunity to play some competitive tennis matches in a casual environment. George will attempt to make the matches challenging to all participants.

Participation in the league is subject to the approval of George Haley. The purpose of this is to insure competitive league matches for all participants. George was formerly a USTA/NTRP verifier. Consult the Junior NTRP player guidelines (flyer on the bulletin board) for an understanding of your youngster's playing level..

League Operating Times

League matches will be begin from 12:00pm. - 6:00pm. There will be a limited amount of matches scheduled between 1:30pm. - 5:00pm.

League Policies and Procedures

Players must be available to play 5 times during the period of October 30, 2011 through May 6, 2012. NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN FOR MATCHES NOT PLAYED.
All matches will be singles and will be a best of 3 set match. The USTA 10 point tiebreaker will be used in lieu of a third set if time becomes an issue.
A new can of balls will be provided for each match.
No refunds will be given due to lack of availability to participate.
Players do not have to participate each week. On Tuesdays or Wednesdays, players will receive an email asking if they would like a match the following Sunday. Only players who respond to this message by Thursday morning will be scheduled on Sunday. A second email will notify them of the time of their match and court to be used.
Players should confirm their match by emailing back "I'll be there" by Friday night.
Players should check in with the person at the front desk at least 10 minutes prior to their match.
The score must be recorded on the sheet at the front desk and balls returned to the person at the desk.
No refunds or make-ups except for cancellations.

League Play Dates:

October 30, 2011 - May 6, 2012

The league will not operate on holidays.

League Cost

High School/Advanced Jr. League $145.00 for 5 1-1/2 hour matches.

League Director - George Haley

George runs Haley Tennis Academy, which trains juniors for high school and tournament play. George is certified as a Pro 1 by the United States Professional Tennis Association. He also is director of tennis at Kirkbrae Country Club. George was selected by the USPTA/New England as a High School Coach of the Year.
