George Haley, USPTA - Director
George is certified by the United States Professional Tennis Association. He is the coach of boys' tennis at LaSalle Academy and the Director of Tennis at Kirkbrae Country Club. The USPTA of New England chose George as the High School Coach of the Year for 2001.

Marvin Gordon 

Marvin was the manager and head pro of the Pond View Tennis Club in Westerly for 15 years. Prior to managing the Pond View Club, he was a teaching pro at a number of other clubs and summer camps.  He is the assistant coach of the boys' tennis team at LaSalle.

Rebecca Curran 

Rebecca was the 2009 and 2010 Rhode Island State Champion. She also has a regional ranking and has helped in teaching tennis at Centre Court Tennis Club in East Providence, RI

                                                            Jerry Reilly

Jerry is the captain of the Assumption College tennis team. He helped at our camp last year. In addition, he has worked in other tennis programs in the area.

Jackson Reilly

Jackson is the #1 singles player at La Salle Academy. He will be a senior next year. Jackson worked at the camp last year and has helped me run clinics at Centre Court over the past two seasons.

The LaSalle tennis camp will focus on the skills, strategies, and physical requirements needed to compete successfully in high school. Participants will learn to become players, not just hitters.  Players will learn the difference between offensive and defensive styles of play, the importance of consistency, how to build a game plan, how to recognize opponent’s weaknesses, how to play doubles, the mental aspect of the game, and other important facets of the game.

 Players will also spend considerable time participating in match play drills. These drills will teach them how to execute proper game strategies that will enable them to become better competitors.  Players will participate in actual singles and doubles matches. On court coaching will be provided to the players to help them improve their match strategies

Camp Specifics

 Camp Week: August 1 - 6, 2011

 The camp will run from 8:30AM to 1:00PM.  Lunch will be from 11:30AM – 12:00PM.  Campers should bring a lunch, water bottle, towels, extra shirts, etc.

• Every camper will receive a free t-shirt.  Snacks and water will be provided.
  
  You may register by one of the following methods.   

• Register via e-mail. Make sure to include name, address, telephone number, email address,  and a credit card number. The card's expiration date is also needed. Send email to coachhaley@cox.net.

• Registration is not consider final until payment is received.
